Otto. Lancelot. Allen.

There are nights when sleep needs a little help, when the dark feels louder and the mind slower to settle. So Otto, Lancelot, and tiny Allen take their places—not as toys, but as anchors. Softness becomes structure; familiarity becomes safety. For some of us, comfort is architecture. And sometimes resilience is simply three small guardians keeping watch until rest comes.

They keep their nightly watch so deep,
These gentle guardians of my sleep:
Otto the bear with his steady might,
Lancelot the ocelot, fierce in the night,
And tiny Allen, blanket tight in paw,
A trio stitched with love and awe.

Each settles in their chosen place,
A quiet fort of fur and grace;
Otto stands firm against the dark,
Lancelot listens for each subtle spark,
While Allen hums his cotton prayer,
A lullaby breathed through tender care.

And in their circle I am held,
By thread and trust and dreams compelled;
For though the world may shift and spin,
Their vigil keeps the soft within—
A promise whispered, calm and true:
“We’re here, Michæl. We watch with you.”

Three plush companions sit closely together on a rumpled blue duvet in soft moonlight. A brown teddy bear wearing a grey hoodie smiles gently while leaning toward a spotted ocelot plush with alert green eyes. Nestled in front of them rests a small green teddy bear holding a white blanket. A full moon and faint stars glow through a window behind them, casting a calm, protective night-time atmosphere as the trio keep quiet watch.
