As we approach the Lenten season, our community at NeuroDivine is reflecting on what it means to emerge from the shadows—gently, honestly, and in our own time.
Our 2026 theme, Returning to the Light, is beautifully embodied in this year’s commemorative artwork. It invites us to pause. To breathe. To witness the movement from the stone-cold tomb into the warmth of the rising sun.
This is not a sudden blaze. It is a becoming.
The Symbolism of the Seasons
The design unfolds in two powerful realms:
The Upper Panel
A welcoming figure stands bathed in golden light — arms open, presence steady. The winding river and distant architecture suggest movement toward belonging, toward shared sacred ground.
It is a landscape of hope.
A reminder that we are not walking alone.
The Lower Panel
Gritty and grounded, this scene shows the empty tomb and the three crosses silhouetted on the horizon. Here we remember that Light is not simply a destination waiting for us at the end of the road.
Light breaks through stone.
It rises from what seemed sealed.
It finds us in the dark.
A Neuro-Inclusive Lens
For many in our community, the phrase “Mark us with the cross of starlight” resonates deeply.
Starlight is gentle.
It does not overwhelm.
It guides quietly and faithfully through the dark.
During these 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting, we are not seeking a blinding flash of revelation. We are welcoming the steady, rhythmic return of the sun—a sensory and spiritual homecoming that honours our unique nervous systems, our diverse ways of processing, and our beautifully different ways of experiencing the Divine.
Throughout Lent, we will be sharing newly written hymns—often as daily reflections—offering words and melodies to accompany you along the way. These songs are born from this journey toward the Light. Some may feel contemplative and quiet. Others may rise with hope. Each is meant to meet you where you are.
Lent, for us, is not about harshness.
It is about attunement.
Not just what we give up—
but what we let in.
This year, we let in the light.

Image Description: The artwork is divided into two contrasting horizontal realms.
- The Upper Realm: A landscape of soft gold and amber. A welcoming figure stands with open arms near a calm, winding river that leads toward a distant city. The atmosphere is warm, airy, and full of belonging.
- The Lower Realm: A gritty, grounded scene in shades of deep blue and charcoal. In the distance, three silhouettes of crosses stand against a fading twilight. In the foreground, a heavy stone has been rolled away from a tomb, and a gentle, steady light spills out from the darkness, illuminating the earth.
