NeuroDivine

celebrating neurodivergence and spirituality

Lead. Glass. Light.

Inspired by the Celtic Irish tradition, this hymn blesses the craft of stained glass as a sign of Christ the Light made present through human hands. Circles and interlace, holy wells and hilltops, saints and living waters all speak of a faith where creation, artistry, and prayer are held together. The hymn invites the community to receive and reflect God’s radiance, walking as pilgrims guided by light from year to year.

Light beyond all telling, breaking
Through the colours shaped by hand;
Bless the artists bent on making
Windows where your wonders stand.
As they work with oak‑fast patience,
Lead and glass in woven line,
Let your breath, like wind on waters,
Stir their craft with touch divine.

Circle deep with ancient meaning,
Sign of love that has no end;
Interlace of grace convening
Earth and heaven, friend with friend.
Through the saints in glass before us—
Brigid’s flame and Patrick’s call—
You invite us to the wellspring
Where your living waters fall.

Spirit, move through shade and shining,
As on hilltops long ago;
Wake the gold of dawn’s refining,
Rowan‑red and hawthorn‑glow.
When the rainclouds part in blessing
And the window flames with light,
Let your presence, gently pressing,
Turn our shadows into sight.

Bless the hands whose craft is giving
Light a dwelling in this place;
Bless the dreaming and the living
Of the keepers of your grace.
May our lives, like glass made holy,
Hold your radiance, warm and clear;
Christ, the Light of every pilgrim,
Guide our path from year to year.
