🌿 New from NeuroDivine:
A Pilgrim’s Psalter of Earth and Light – Beginnings & Thresholds
I’ve spent years carrying these hymns in my body before they ever made it onto a page. A Pilgrim’s Psalter of Earth and Light – Beginnings & Thresholds is the first volume of what I hope will become a long, generous conversation between the Psalms, the landscapes that formed me, and the people who pray in the midst of ordinary life.
These hymns were born on canal banks and cliff paths, in dialysis wards and parish vestries, in the quiet moments when memory becomes prayer and prayer becomes breath. They’re shaped by the places that hold me—North Antrim, Kildare, the Braid, the Barrow—and by the thresholds we all cross again and again.
✨ What I’ve tried to offer in this book
- Hymns inspired by the Psalms, written for real communities and real moments of beginning
- Texts for thresholds—new seasons, new hopes, new courage
- Tunes chosen for accessibility, using melodies familiar from the Church Hymnal (2000) and many other hymnals
- A spirituality of place, where landscape becomes a companion rather than a backdrop
- A voice shaped by resilience, written through illness, recovery, and the slow work of turning experience into blessing
🌾 Why this belongs on NeuroDivine
Neurodivergent spirituality often grows in the quiet corners—in the places where we feel deeply, sense differently, and move through the world with heightened awareness. These hymns honour that way of being. They make room for those who pray in images, in textures, in memory, in rhythm. They invite gentleness, honesty, and belonging.
For me, this book isn’t just a collection of hymns.
It’s a map of where I’ve walked.
A record of grace in unexpected places.
A companion for anyone navigating beginnings of their own.
